WRITE-IN INSTRUCTIONS

Writing in Mai Vang on your ballot is as simple as these easy steps!

Step 1

Ballots for the November 3 General Election are mailed out by the Marion County Clerk on October 14, 2026.

If you have not received your ballot by October 21, 2026, please contact the Marion County Clerk's Office.

If you're in Ward 6, the Salem City Council race will appear on the backside of your ballot.

Check to see if you're in Ward 6.

Step 2

Vote Your Whole Ballot!

Front & Back
Do not skip the City Council race!

Did You Know?
In general elections, approximately 30% of Ward 6 voters "undervote" City Council, or leave the options blank.
 Your vote matters!

Step 3

Fill in the second rectangular box listed to register your write-in vote.

In the blank space to the right of the box you've filled in,
write MAI VANG.

Step 4

Don't forget to sign the outside of your ballot envelope!

Your ballot must be postmarked or received back by the Marion County Clerk by 8 PM on Tuesday, November 3.

If you choose to mail your ballot, the last day to safely do so is Tuesday, October 27. No stamp is required.

Did You Know?
Salem mail is routed to Portland for
sorting and distribution, and can experience delays.

We recommend you vote as early as possible, and drop your ballot back in an Official Ballot Drop Box.
